When you shop local, you help the North Lake Tahoe economy and help to keep our small independent retailers in business. Plus, you’ll find great unique gifts for everyone on your list. Think of the gas money you’ll save by shopping locally! Researchers have proven that for every $100 spent in independently owned stores, $68 returns to the community through taxes, payroll, and other expenditures. If you spend the same amount in a national chain, only $43 stays here and if you spend it online there is NO BENEFIT to our local community. Keep your holiday shopping dollars in our state and our county!
